How to replace steering wheel airbag emblem H logo for Honda Pilot 2009 ...

There are a couple of topics about this problem but NO solution posted. This seems to be a very common problem on several Honda models reported on many forums; it didn't find a solution there either.

Today I gave it a try and was able to fix mine. Here is what I did.

Tools used:
Prying tool and scalpel.

First I tried to remove the emblem using a prying tool. Although I was able to insert tool all the way, I was unable to remove it. It was evident it was not glued in, but rather attached.

Kept inserting tool around emblem until I could see a pin under the thick part of the H. While lifting emblem with prying tool I used a scalpel to cut pin. Once I cut the first one a was able to keep on going cutting them all. You need a very sharp and narrow scalper to do it. Be very careful not to cut steering wheel plastic or the emblem itself. If you're careful it's pretty straight forward.

The emblem is pretty tough, so don't be afraid to break it. It's made of very strong but flexible rubber. You have to be more careful of the steering wheel plastic cover.

Use your cleaner and a q-tip to really get into those hard to reach spots! Clean the raised surface area with rubbing alcohol. It will clean off any residue and prepares your surface for the double-sided tape.

Remove the double-sided tape. Align the emblem in the middle. Push evenly and hold it for 30 seconds to let the adhesive stick. The emblem should sit flush with the surface.
DONE! Now your Honda Pilot very beautiful than before. Enjoy.
