Today I’m here to show you very interesting troubleshooting to fix a weird issue with an Apple MacBook pro.
This Mac could not find any SSD or HDD. It looks like hard drive Bad but hard drive 100% good we tested before. The SSD and HDD drive both are booting and working with another MAC. Even this MAC booting from Flash drive without any issues. And this HDD and SSD booting when I connected with the SATA USB connector. So that means something wrong with the SATA cable or SATA controller. If any wrong with SATA cable so we can fix it easily. If it’s wrong with the SATA controller that means we have to replace the motherboard. We know the motherboard will be expensive. On the other hand, SATA cable will be a very cheap price, like $10 to $20 dollars.
Most of the time this problem occurs because of a bad SATA cable or bad Hard drive.
Right now, we have a new SATA cable in store, So I’m going to replace the SATA cable and then let see what happens. If any problems with old SATA cable, it should find SSD or HDD with new SATA cable.
Please remember it, most of the after-market SATA cable we received defective. So, make sure to buy an original SATA cable for your diagnostic. If you buy aftermarket SATA cable and that is not working please buy another one and test again before destroying your expensive Mac.

WOW, our good luck! This Mac found our SSD, which means our old SATA cable was bad.
Now, this mac booting perfectly without any issue.
